Friday Cheat Day?

No matter how hard I try to have one weekend cheat day, Fridays always seem to be a day where I can't stop eating.  It's the end of the week, and I usually snack a lot.  Today was no different.  I started off with good intentions.

Breakfast

I woke up with a strong craving for a smoothie, and what better than peanut butter chocolate?!

Protein Packed Green Dream

2 cups coconut milk
1/2 scoop Pure Green Protein (Chocolate)
1 tbs PB2
1 frozen banana
1 tbs vegan chocolate chips

Blend that baby until it's smooth!  I think I over blended, because it got really frothy on top.

I'm still really behind at work since I was out for surgery for a week and a half, so today was not my usual half day Friday.  I had hoped it wouldn't take me all day to do what I needed to do, but it definitely did.  I was getting a little hungry around 11, and not knowing what I wanted to do for lunch, I snacked on some almonds.

Lunch

Most of my other co-workers needed to stay late on Friday as well, so a few of us headed out to Osaka for some sushi.  I decided on a bento box, and the cooks were fine with modifying the noodle bento to be vegan (even though tofu isn't a choice on the menu.)  All you have to do is ask usually.  This lunch was yummy, but between the rice and the noodles I was in a carb coma for the afternoon.

After work, I headed to Kroger to get some much needed groceries.  I am doing some tester recipes this weekend, as well as making a vegan bangers and mash, so I had a lot of ingredients to get.  I was really exhausted by the time I got home and put everything away.

Dinner

I usually don't buy vegan cold cuts, but this was really on sale.  The problem when I buy these is that I usually end up eating most of the package in one sitting.  I suppose the taste and texture is something I don't get very often, and it was yummy.  I ate a sandwich with relish and vegan mayo while I was putting away groceries.

Later on in the evening, seeing as we had Earth Balance for the first time in months, I made up some toast.  I usually don't keep Earth Balance around because it's so delicious.  It was a nice treat.

Obviously, this wasn't a diet friendly day of eating.  It makes me think I should switch my cheat day to Friday instead of Sunday, so that's what I plan to do.
