This is a Friday Picture Post! Last weekend, the temperatures dropped into the 60's and we headed into the woods. We went out with my best friend, Devon, and her boyfriend, David, and their dogs. Josh and I slept in our hammock, and Devon and David brought the biggest tent I have ever seen. They have since decided to size down. We set up camp at Prairie Creek, then took the dogs on a hike at Hobbs State Park. The next morning, we hiked on a trail by the campsite. It was awesome. I didn't take food pics, because the menu was basically our standard car camping menu. Fear not, there will be a lot more hiking and eating this fall.
Poor pups were worn out from our hike!
I love sleeping in a hammock. The temps got down into the 40's, but I was snug as a bug, reading Outlander on my nook after everyone went to bed. I slept soooo well.
I like to be optimistic and look on the bright side, so one up side to not being currently pregnant is I can strap on a pack and get to hiking. We're going to give ourselves a few months to enjoy fall and the outdoors before starting back up on the baby making agenda, so this will give me some time to be active!
I love fall!!
Have you ever been hammock camping? Do you like to go hiking? Leave me a comment!
