VV Reset: Day 1

Today was all about leftovers!  I spent a good amount of time batch cooking this past weekend, and we ate out a few meals.  So, between leftovers and cooked food, my kitchen was stocked.  It made throwing together delicious meals really easy.

For breakfast, I blended up my typical morning smoothie:

  • 1 scoop protein powder (I'm using Vega One, not a promotion, just like it)
  • 1 tbs cacao powder
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 cup almond milk

Super excited blueberry smoothie face!!

Saturday, I cooked a sweet potato and a bunch of mustard greens.  I couldn't eat the whole thing, so I put it away for another day.  That day was today.  I had the chopped greens and sweet potato (plus a little tahini) topped with a little hot sauce, raw pumpkin seeds, and avocado.  Talk about an incredibly satisfying lunch.  I'm still trying to get in my mega protein smoothies, so I had this alongside this mega drink.

Lean Green

  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder
  • 2 cups raw spinach
  • 1 tbs maca powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1 carrot
  • ice and water to blend

This had me feeling full and energized, and I spent several hours walking around a large job site.  We have a really cool auditorium in construction, and I like to go wander through the bones of a building.

Cool stuff, huh?  I like my job.  When I got back, I was pretty hungry, so I scarfed this 1/4 cup of almonds.

When I got home, I cleaned the house instead of working out.  I got a lot done this weekend, but cleaning was not one of them, and after being out of town for 2 weeks, the house was getting out of control.

After that, I warmed up some dinner.  Josh and I had a lovely lunch at Three Fold Noodle Co on Saturday, and I have more to share with you on that later, but I came home with a bunch of leftovers.  Instead of letting them go to waste or shoving them in my mouth before the reset started, I saved them and had them with a delicious side of crispy brussels sprouts.

I steamed the sprouts in a pan with some tamari, and I had the pan a liiiiiiittle too hot, so I ended up with some very browned brussels.  They were still good, though.  I also had a couple veggie dumplings and some killer noodles.  The meal was significantly heavier than the light stuff I was eating all day, but it was yummy.

After that, I settled into an epsom salt bath and hit the sack.  Great first day start to the reset!

  1. Yay for day one! I love that you're balancing the super-healthy stuff with some fun comfort food. I'm really hoping I can get to Three Fold when I'm in town in a couple weeks for Sher & Drew's housewarming!!

    1. They're open until about 8 on Saturday, and I HIGHLY recommend hitting it up. So tasty! I'm really really hoping we are in town that weekend for the housewarming as well.

I think a good balance of healthy and comfort is always a good thing. :)

  2. I would have liked a longer power reserve, or an indicator to warn the rolex replica uk when the reserve is almost depleted. But provided the wearer is relatively active or keeps the watch on a winder, this shouldnt pose much of a problem. Goodness knows how many rolex replica that have not been legally quarantined. Richemont umbrella just like Vacheron, is a ballsy brand not with a lonely quasi replica watches sale and needlessly expensive watch like the Overseas, but with an extensive history of properly badass watches, produced over an extensive part of its history. Ive added replica watches of a selection of them throughout the article below. Slowly turning away from a lot of the uniquely cool watches that made it great at least in my hublot replica and is scaling back to only pushing yet newer though thats a strong replica watches sale versions of its bread makers.
