Yoga Veggie Giveaway

So, you guys gave me some very positive feedback when I shared the paintings I did for my sister.  I recently finished this broccoli tree pose for my friend, Kimmy, and I got an idea.  Why don't I give one away on the blog?!  I've never done a giveaway, and I thought this would be a good way to start.

So, at the end of the post, you will have a chance to win your very own yoga veggie.  Better still, you get to tell me what veggie you want AND what yoga pose, and I'll paint it for you.  I'm really excited to hear what you guys come up with.

Here is my process on the broccoli tree:

At this point, Bazie crawled behind the canvas and started batting at the back, which made the painting flip over into my paint tray.  Luckily, I recovered.

I paint everything in acrylic, mostly on canvas.  It's what I have always done, and it's what I'm comfortable with.  I admire people that can paint in oil, but I'm not that good.

My mom was a painter when she was young, and she taught me.  She's a really talented artist, and she shared all her art supplies and skills with me.

I really like seeing the whole thing come together, so I try to snap pictures throughout the process.

So, enter the giveaway, and you could have your very own yoga veggie!  Good luck!

Your architecture drawings are the obvious best. The fly illustration is alright, but you can totally tell that you have the eyes for design well over character work. Embrace it!
