Rainy Day Date at Local Lime

Isn't that salad just beautiful?!  I have already done a review of Local Lime, but we had such a good date there a few weeks ago, that I had to write about it again.

Josh and I headed out to West Little Rock on a rainy Sunday to enjoy lunch and a movie.  We rarely ever eat at Local Lime, and I don't really know why.  I guess it's because Big Orange (owned by the same people, the local Yellow Rock Concepts) is out there as well.  Not a problem to have so much good, local food, that's for sure.

One great thing is that vegan items are clearly marked, so it makes ordering a lot easier.  Even if something is listed s vegetarian, I've found it's very easy to modify to make vegan, which is what I did on this trip.

We ordered a drink and some appetizers and perused the menu.  It took me a really long time to decide which salad I wanted, but eventually I landed on the Acapulco Salad with the vegan vinaigrette instead of the standard dressing.

While we waited for our lunch, or starters arrived.  We had the house salsa, the chipotle, and the mango.  The chipotle was warm and by far my favorite, because it had slightly sweet notes and a good kick.  I also tried the guacamole, which was super fresh and tasty.

The crispy chips are really great, too.  I usually throw a stink if we go to a Mexican restaurant that charges for chips and salsa, but these are incredible and worth the cost.  They'll refill your chips, too, so don't worry.

My salad was spicy, sweet and decadent.  Look at all that avocado!  The papaya was sweet and juicy, and the shaved jalapeno gave it a good kick.  I wish they'd done something to the hearts of palm, like grill them, but they were still a good addition to the salad.

After lunch, we saw Chappie, which we both really loved.  Great date day!

Do you like to do lunch and a movie?  What are some of your favorite places to eat on a date?  Leave me a comment!

  2. The watches timekeeping is often more accurate that the chanel replica over a period of 30 days. Person watches were first introduced to the public in 1924. Up until now watches were just awkward things you used to be able to tell time. Person watches changed their watches by creating a watch that was easy fold and was light on the louis vuitton replica and might have all the features and more of the old. Simply changed they have become known as one of the biggest watch making companies in the world. The reason for this is that the Timex watch uses power supply to charge a capacitor which then powers the movement of the rolex replica, where as an automatic watch uses motion to charge a spring how the releases energy to the watch movement. For a watch to be completely mechanical it should never only run by means of a twisted spring and set of equipment, but these must be powered by mechanical means. What is so interesting about the Technomarine watches is the fact that they sort of break the Switzerland tradition for acumen and subtlety. Many see in the individual as a "heresy" to the whole chanel replica industry.
