Fitness Friday: Workout Schedule

Things have been crazy busy for me lately, so this post is going to be pretty short and sweet.  In fact, I have so much going on with the wedding planning, doing graphics for my professional organization, work, traveling, and life in general, that you may notice my posts aren't as recipe heavy or long.  I don't want to completely fall off the face of the earth for the next month and a half, but I definitely don't have a lot of time to write about food.  That's ok, though.  It will come back.

In the meantime, even though I've been busy, I've been working out like a beast!  Here's what my current schedule looks like:

Monday:  1 1/2 hour long Power Yoga

Tuesday: DOUBLE WORKOUT!  Zumba + Body Pump

Wednesday: Rest Day (do stuff around the house after work)

Thursday:  Advanced yoga

Friday:  Rest Day

Saturday: 1 hour Power Yoga

Sunday:  Climb Pinnacle Mountain

This is definitely a best case scenario kind of schedule, because I've been traveling a lot on the weekends.  My goal next week is to add a 30 minute treadmill or outside walk to the mornings.  I'm pretty terrible at getting out of bed before I have to.  I'm loving working body pump into the rotation.  I KNOW I need to lift more weights.  I would like to get the weight lifting up to 2 days a week.

  1. I like to mix up my workouts as well. I try to workout 5 to 6 days a week, and I like tto do various types of yoga, and try different Barre type workouts, and other fun cardio type workouts.

    1. I love barre as well! I really need to add that into my weekend routine. :D

    1. It's a class to music that works various muscle groups with weights on a bar and free weights. Sometimes there is a step involved, but I'm not as good at those moves.

  3. You are tearin' it up at the gym, girl!! I've not been running much since the LR Half because of my stupid knee. So I've been almost exclusively doing yoga. But doing it everyday, mostly Hatha Yoga. Easy, breezy stuff until I can start running again. I'm a morning workout person though. I can't bring myself to work out in the afternoons anymore, except for my weekly hula-hoop classes. But I prefer working out before the sun comes up. It's nice to get it over with.

    1. I really really want to get into the morning workout routine. I usually pick cuddles over cardio these days, but our brand new treadmill is feeling a bit unused. I love getting at least a fun workout in after work (yoga class, bike ride, walk) because it helps me calm down after a stressful day. It's harder in the summer, though, because I just want to be out in the yard.

  8. I have multiple workout clothes in my closet. The black grey space dye is 90% Polyester 10% Spandex. It definitely feels more like polyester, is thinner and has a lot more stretch. The material is great too not see through at all!
