Wedding Shower Vegan Treats
Amanda, one of my best friends, got married this weekend. We have known each other since high school, and I could not be happier for her. We spent the weekend in Mountain Home, Arkansas, celebrating together and seeing old friends. It was lovely.
A month ago, though, the maid of honor threw the bride a beautiful wedding shower. None of the other bridesmaids are vegan or have a lot of experience with the diet, but I was so impressed by the special treats they made for me that I wanted to share.
I looooved all the cute, vintage plates. They were so adorable. So, most of the items at the shower were not vegan, but the maid of honor hunted down daiya cheese shreds and cream cheese in Mountain Home so she could veganize my food. She kept them in a special fridge and made enough so I could have plenty. It was so lovely, and I really appreciated the gesture.
If you're looking to throw a vegan tea party, you can't go wrong with 7 layer dip, fruit, cucumber sandwiches and amazing black bean chips. I also drank my weight in tea. It was great!
So, I thought I would share some pictures from this weekend, because the wedding was beautiful and it was good to see old friends. I really loved my dress, and I got to wear a sweet side braid. Doesn't Josh look handsome?
It was such fun. I wish we all lived closer. It makes me really excited, because our wedding is in May, and everyone will be together again.
Here is our huge bridal party! Eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen, all in beautiful blues and grays.
What did you do this weekend?
