Birthday Week Wrap Up: Picture Dump

You may be saying, Ok, we have already had 4 posts of Birthday pictures, surely you are done, right?  Nope!  It was a great weekend, and while you have seen the amazing food my parents made, there was more!

Devon got to meet Basil!  I think they're going to get along great.  Basil did try to eat her dress right after this, so we have to work on that.

Devon and Val came from Northwest Arkansas, so they swung through Little Rock and I drove them the rest of the way to my parents house.  Before we got on the road, though, we needed lunch.  So, I took them to the Arkansas Ale House at Diamond Bear for some delicious sandwiches.  We ordered the hummus platter, and Devon and I split the veggie sandwich (no cheese on my half).  I can't get enough of this sandwich.  It's great!

We had a very fun day in Memphis where I got to indulge my bride side.  We also stopped off at a Mexican restaurant mid day for some snacks and drinks.  I didn't get a selfie with Amanda or my mom.  Next time!

You know, this girl loves Mexican food.  I mean to only have a very small snack, but who can resist fresh guacamole.  Yum!

I also got to see this awesome lady, Bianca from Vegan Crunk, while we were in Memphis.  More on that next week!

Sunday morning, I came into the kitchen and my dad had made home made English Muffins, and my mom was pressing tofu.  Who has the best parents?  This girl.  I pan fried the tofu in a little peanut oil until they were super crispy, then I piled them on the muffin with avocado, cashew cream and sriracha.  Talk about a great breakfast!

Ok, so now I have gone through all my Birthday Week pictures.  Hope you enjoyed it.  Next week's Vegan Mofo theme is restaurant reviews, and I have something really exciting to tell you that goes along with that!

  2. My mom is the best! That tofu had all the meat eaters wanting more.
