Solfood Vegan Brunch at The Veg

When I heard that Solfood Catering was doing vegan brunch at The Veg, I knew it was a perfect combination!  We had a busy weekend catching up with out of town friends, but I knew I wanted to make time to head to the River Market and get some great food.

I also got to see my favorite Little Rock vegans, Sheridan and Drew, as well as Bianca from Vegan Crunk.  Sadly, I only had a few minutes to say hi to these awesome people, but Bianca and I are meeting up in Memphis in a few weeks at Imagine Vegan Cafe.  I have been wanting to try it forever, and we'll be in Memphis celebrating my birthday.

If you're in Little Rock September 20th, be sure to check out this great festival.  I'm sad that I won't be able to go, but we're going on vacation.

It was hard deciding between fried rice and pancakes, but in the end, I went savory.  The pancakes looked really good, though, so I'll have to come back for more another time.  The fried rice and pot stickers were crazy good.

Talk about a ton of veggies!  The fried rice was filling, delicious and full of flavor.  I really enjoyed all the vegetables and spices.  There was even a nice amount of heat.

I haven't had pot stickers in a really long time, and these were good.  They were filled with delicious veggies and covered in a great plum sauce.  Yum and yum!!  It was the perfect amount of food for a good price.  I was very happy.

I went to lunch with several friends, and our out of town guests had two adorable little boys.  We decided to take them up to the Junction Bridge after lunch.  We stayed out for a bit, but it got really hot and started storming, so we had to call it quits pretty quickly.  We spent the whole weekend telling our friends from St. Louis that they needed to move to Little Rock, which you do, Kevin and Charinda!

With Solfood and The Veg making huge strides for the vegan community, and all this beautiful outdoor scenery, Little Rock is definitely becoming a great place to live.

    1. Yes, it was really yummy! I was hoping one of my friends would snag the pancakes so I could eat some of them. The rice was so good, though. We'll have to keep our ears open for more vegan brunch.
