What do all three of these amazing people have in common? They'll all be spending a weekend with me in New York starting tomorrow! David lives there, and Devon, Mel and I are traveling to the Big Apple to have some fun and eat some amazing food. I haven't been since 2009, when I took these fun pics:
Yes, vegan food! I was a baby vegan at the time, only having adopted the fully plant based lifestyle for about 6 months when I went. This time, I'm going on 6 years, and I'm ready to eat as much vegan food as I possibly can.

Clean out the Fridge Juice
1 bunch celery
3 bunches romaine
1/2 cup cilantro, tightly packed
2 cups carrots
Add to juicer and enjoy!
I know the color on this isn't great. It was such a pretty, bright green until I added the carrots. Oh well, those carrots needed to be eaten too!
So, I drank about half of the carafe and put the rest away for my breakfast. A few hours later, I moved on to dinner number 2.
Pre-Flight Protein Smoothie
1 1/2 cup almond milk
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 tbs spirulina
1 tbs chia seeds
2 cups spinach
1 cup strawberries
1 cup ice
Blend and enjoy!
