Dana's Daily Eats


This morning, I got up and did a speedy almost 2 mile run.  I'm a slow runner, but I was running 2 minutes/mile faster than I usually do.  It was great.  I started the day off with some cereal, which I half ate and forgot about at my desk.




For lunch, we had a presentation where they brought in food.  I brought my tofu salad sandwich, but I did end up eating too many pita chips and hummus from the office lunch.  I'm definitely going a little overboard on non-nutritional foods, and I need to cut that back.

I had a lot of time to think about my food choices in my yoga class tonight.  I got to reconnect with myself on the mat and what I wanted, and while I want to be happy and not stress toooo much about food intake, I also want to take care of my body and make sure I'm eating the right balance and amount of foods.




For dinner, I busted out the veggies.  Instead of chips, I opted for cucumber slices with my salsa (and no, I didn't eat all that salsa.)  I warmed up my Black Bean Eggplant Tacos from last night and had them in cabbage rolls.  It was fresh, light and delicious.



I think I need to start eating more lunches on lettuce, cabbage and greens.  I love my little wheat wraps, but there's something awesome about a fresh crunk in a raw wrap.  I will be making more of them!
