I feel like I've stumbled upon an incredible secret. If you don't eat until you're stuffed and stop constantly snacking, you will feel better and lose weight. I have felt better in the past few days than I've felt in a long time. I also ate a lot of amazing wraps today!
At 3 am, our cat started going CRAZY in our bathroom. She was hissing and crying and woke us up. We dashed to the bathroom to catch three raccoons hanging out on our back porch. Bodhi was not happy to have the invaders outside, and it took awhile to calm her down. Eventually she passed out, but Josh and I didn't have such an easy time going back to sleep. So, when 6 am rolled around, we both bailed on our runs. We should have pushed through, but that extra hour felt good. I do want to work into a more consistent wake up schedule, because I'm far more productive.
Before the raccoon fiasco, I did a little makeover to my hair. I've been rocking a fuzzy orange look for quite awhile, but I feel fall coming, and I feel dark.
It's been a long time since I rocked some dark locks, and I am pretty happy about it.
So, with no run this morning, I wasn't very hungry. I packed up some granola and waited until I was hungry at the office to eat it. I was more excited about lunch!
Before I left this morning, I made up a bbq tempeh wrap, kale chips and an apple for lunch. This was an amazing amount of food, and it kept me satisfied through yoga until about 8 pm.
I don't exactly have a recipe for you, because I don't really think one is needed. I cooked the tempeh last night in water (steamed) then in the oven in bbq sauce. I wrapped it all up this morning with hummus, carrots, peppers and romaine.
I worked on an art project at lunch that I'll be writing about over on Scribbly Brain in the next few days, but I managed to have my yummy lunch. I have got to stop eating at my desk. I'm waiting for the weather to cool down, then it's HELLOOOO parks!
Work is incredibly stressful at the moment, causing me to not have a lot of free time, but I carved out a couple hours to head to Barefoot for yoga. Lunar is my absolute favorite class. There were only three people there today, and I got to completely focus on myself.
When I got home, we set to making dinner. I still had some leftover jambalaya that my mom made, and I wrapped it up with some hot sauce and guacamole. I didn't want to eat too much, so I just had a side of veggies with it.
I'm having a lot of fun posting for Vegan Mofo, and I spent a long time tonight on the RANDOM MOFO GENERATOR! Here are a few highlight that I found today from around the blog-o-sphere.
