Weekend in Pictures: Cooking, Big Orange Midtown and a Mountain Hike

Most summers, I get very depressed.  I think it's a combination of the heat and lack of exercise.  Not this summer, though!  The weather has been almost cool at times, and I've tried my best to keep up lots of physical activity.  Moving your body is one of the best things you can do for yourself, and I'm finally to a point where I'm prioritizing physical fitness.

This weekend was a blur of amazing activities and food.  So, here's your picture purge of the last few days.

Friday

work, lunch at Boulevard Bread in SoMa (vegan sandwich, iced americano with soy), thrift shopping, back yard hangout, left over pizza, and at home movie night (Kick Ass)

Saturday

breakfast making (quiche from Edible Perspective), weekly meal planning, gazpacho blending, fig picking, cake making (Vegan Yak Attack) date night (dinner at Big Orange Midtown and a movie, Kick Ass 2)

Sunday

sleeping in, cleaning, phone chatting with a lovely friend, Pinnacle Mountain conquering, US Pizza eating, relaxing and not as much picture taking

So, that was the huge picture dump that was this weekend.  I'm tired from hiking and happy, and I'm ready to start off the week.  I look forward to running, yoga, working on paintings and getting closer to my big 2-8 bday.  More on that soon.

  1. I reusable plastic cup would be beneficial so you're not wasting so much plastic all the time with your coffees & juices.

  2. I need to know what you order at USPizza. It was one of our favorites and since I went vegan about 3 months ago I have really missed pizza (without me making it myself:) So do you order a veggie pizza, no cheese and add Guac?

    1. yes! this is one of their veggie pizzas, no cheese, add guac and jalapenos. the artichoke garlic one is really good with the same specialty items too. sometimes the cooks/waiters give me a weird time about the guac (have them put it on AFTER they bake the pizza) and sometimes they are awesome. also, their dragon fire salsa is AMAZING.

    1. that is the vegetable medley pizza w/out the cheeses, add guac and jalapeno. I also really love their artichoke and roasted garlic pizza. it was really good. it gets a bit soggy with all those veggies, but totally worth it! josh and i are huge us pizza fans.
