Eating Out All Day


Most of my workdays include a meal out, because I eat with my office on most days, but today I ate out for all my meals.  It's a little uncommon, but I tried to keep health in mind in all my food choices today.

Breakfast

Normally, I don't get a chance to be anywhere near Whole Foods when they are serving breakfast, but it just so happened that today I had to run a morning errand.  So, I got to pop over to snag some oatmeal!




For some reason, after 2 weeks of no caffeine, I thought it would be a good idea to have some coffee at work.  Luckily, I had some coconut milk with me.  After 3 cups (what is wrong with me?!?) I was sooo hyper!

Lunch

The morning flew by, and before I knew it we were heading to Buffalo Wild Wings.  I ordered up a black bean patty with a curry sauce and salad without cheese and croutons.  It was actually a really good and filling.

My afternoon was full of meetings, and again, before I knew it, it was time to go home.  Josh and I decided it was too nice outside to not take advantage of our patio, so I got a glass of wine and headed outside.





I also wanted to give you guys a little peak into my herb deck garden.  I usually have an in ground garden, but this spring was too busy for me to get my act together, so all I could do was plant in pots.  It's still pretty, though.










The garden even comes equipped with a beautiful cat!  We had to go out and run a few errands, so we ended up grabbing dinner to go at Tropical Smoothie (read:  I still haven't gone grocery shopping).

Dinner

I ordered a southwest salad with beyond meat, no rice, no cheese, extra salsa instead of the ranch dressing.  It was low calorie and REALLY good.  Thank you Tropical Smoothie for deciding to keep beyond meat on your menu.  You rock.

Now, my nutritional information for the day would be AMAZING if I hadn't given into getting alcohol tonight.  It also would have been amazing if over the course of 5 hours I didn't drink the entire bottle.  Damn.  Alcohol, you are my diet downfall.

No beating myself up.  I still did pretty well food wise for the day.  It feels really good to be paying attention to what's going into my body, and I think a little more conscious choices will go a long long way.

  1. The biggest of all temptations is drinking wine outside in the summer. If I had your backyard, I would be drinking a Magnum. Then, I would nuke a bean burrito, cuddle with the kitty and call it night. I think you did super! You and I will see how our weekends pan out...
