Izzy's Vegan Tamales

I know I have posted about it before, but Izzy's in Little Rock has an entire vegan menu.  I have tried most everything, because we eat here ALL THE TIME.  I think my boss might actually eat here for lunch with us and then dinner with his family.  The staff are great, and it's run by an awesome couple.  There are so many options for me here.  One thing I get A LOT are the vegan tamales.


































The tamales are vegan, but the menu has this listed with a side of salsa and a side of queso.  I always sub the cheese for their guacamole, which is awesome (and look how much they give you!)  The salsa is incredibly fresh as well.  These are filled with black beans and vegetables, and they're really good.

Yesterday I was particularly hungry, so I got them with a side of the black bean soup.  This stuff is great as well.  Izzy's has quite a few vegan soups.


































If you find yourself on the west side of Rock Town and you want some healthy food, I would definitely give Izzy's a try.

Besides lunch, I did a lot of snacking yesterday.  I'm still slowly trying to re-adjust to a healthy mind set.  I definitely took a good week long stumble there, but I'm back on track today.  Alcohol is a big inhibitor to weight loss for me, and I think I'm going to need to figure out a balance.  I was doing alright, but after the bachelorette party, it was a bit of a free for all.

I also had some rice and avocado for dinner, but my phone took a bath in ice tea at lunch and was having major problems when I was making dinner, so no pictures.  It slept in a bag of rice and feels better today.  

Tonight I'm going back to yoga after a week long break, and I couldn't be more excited.  I actually worked up quite an ambitious workout schedule for the month of April, and I'll be trying as best I can to stick to it.  I'm taking my bike into the shop, so some rides in the first week or so may not happen.



































This seems like a lot of workouts, but none of them are all that intense or taxing, so this is mainly meant to keep my body moving all the time!  So far this week, Josh and I have not gotten up for morning walks.  I am striving to be better about it.
