Sunday Recap

Well, it seems that my "cheat day Saturday" plan turned into cheat day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  I knew being at home with my parents would be difficult, but it was a lot of fun.  My parents are great, and they love to eat and drink.  It was all lovely whole food, and possibly too much beer.  My mom made a bunch of recipes for the blog, and she was very excited to take lots of photos.  I will be posting recipes for everything she made this weekend.  My parents are very supportive of my veganism, and they made a lot of great things for me to eat.

Here's a recap of today:

woke up hung over.
snacked on chips and mom's mock "tuna" salad (white beans, spices, etc)
at more chips, drank coffee
lunch (leftovers)

Let's take a step back, though, and I'll show you what I made for brunch yesterday.  My dad made blueberry muffins for everyone, but they weren't vegan, so I whipped this up.

(dad's home made bread, sauteed spinach and mushrooms, avocado, tomato and veggie "sausage" patties)

Ok, so back to today.  We drove back to Little Rock and by 6 or so we were pretty hungry.  So, I decided to whip up dinner.

I had a bunch of kale and bok choy in the fridge, so I braised that and then added a vegan noodle packet I had in the pantry.  I baked Josh some chicken, but for myself, I chopped up some tempeh and cooked it down with tamari, nutritional yeast and cashews.

THIS WAS SO GOOD!

We are now sitting on the couch eating mango sorbet.  Yeah, I definitely need to get back on track tomorrow.  Alcohol ALWAYS derails me, but in order to be more successful in the weight loss arena, I'm going to have to learn how to deal with eating + drinking.

Anyone have any tips on how they deal with weight loss and drinking?
